Prepration
Make sure you are rested well. You should have eaten well before you come in.
Don’t drink alcohol 24 hours prior. Alcohol thins the blood and makes it harder to tattoo.
Make sure to bring something to eat and drink if you have a long session ahead. It takes the body a lot of energy to be tattooed.
Make sure you don’t have a sunburnt skin. Also, no tanning prior your session.
Don’t apply lotion to the body part where the tattoo will be.
You can shave the body part where the tattoo will be in the morning, but I can do it for you as well.
If you want a tattoo to cover a scar, the scar must be at least one year old.
Aftercare
Directly after the tattoo session
Leave the plastic foil for a max of 3 hours. After that, wash your tattoo with water to get rid of ink rests and wound fluid.
Dab it dry with a clean paper towel.
Apply a single layer of plastic foil before you go to sleep. The next morning, remove the foil and wash your tattoo with water (or Neutral 0% douche gel if you happen to have it at hand).
Dab your tattoo completely dry with a clean paper towel. Then apply a very thin layer of Bepanthen Tattoo.
The next two weeks
Apply a thin layer of Bepanthen several times.
Make sure to dab your tattoo dry with a paper towel after showering.
Be careful with fluffy clothing, as the fluff may get stuck in your tattoo.
This list is a no-no for the next two weeks:
- No bathing
- No sauna
- No steam bath
- No swimming
- No tanning
- No sports
When your tattoo is completely healed, you can apply any kind of body lotion.
Make sure to apply sunscreen factor 50 to your tattoo if you go tanning.
